Hemp Soap w/ Neem oil

Ok, So after researching the benefits of Neem Oil, and Hemp I decided to combine the 2 into a 100% all natural soap with no color dyes. I made the soap using the cold process method, like all of my soaps. Today I took the soap out of the mold, and wow, What an odor! It was so string of an odor, I had to take a break from holding the log of soap! And this was with only using 2% Neem Oil in the soap batch.
So I decided to rebatch the soap. Or as some people call it, handmill the soap. But becuase I am new to this technique I only used a small portion so that the whole log wasn”t destroyed by my experiementation.
Anyway, I added some Lavender Essential Oil to mask the strong odor slightly. But all it really seemed to do was add more odor to the already too strong of an odor.
But my rebatched soap is now in the mold setting up. Rebatching means extra heat was added to the soap, therefore finishing off the saponification process that usually takes weeks with normal cold process soap. So I did try a little on my hands, and WOW! I have NEVER, not even any of my prevoiusly made wonderful soaps, felt a soap that made my hands this SOFT EVER!
I am so amazed! It was so good, I got past the fact that it really STINKS and used it on my face. And just amazing results! My skin feels like silk!
I did read, and I am hoping, that Neem oil loses its potent odor over time. So I am going to let the log that it left cure for awhile before I decide if I am going to offer it on my site or not. I am not sure I would get good reviews on the scent of this soap. But from the feel of it, I know it would be a hit!
More to come on this soap once it cures! (and/or my rebatch is done….give it 3 days…)
